Why the Clearly Confident Workshop is Non-Refundable – But Provides You an Emergency Option
When you go through the enjoyable enrollment process to attend the “Clearly Confident Workshop” you will notice at the end of the questionnaire there is section called “Payment Terms” where it states:
“Payments are non-refundable. Enrollment in the Clearly Confident Workshop is non-refundable. If you do not attend your scheduled workshop sessions, payment is forfeited in full. If you need to cancel your attendance in the Clearly Confident Workshop after you have paid, due to an EMERGENCY, you will be allowed to enroll in a future Clearly Confident Workshop. (Contact me immediately if an EMERGENCY happens) Thank you. I am excited to meet you and work together in the workshop toward your clarity, confidence and success!”
Here is the “sense” behind my policy.
From a Business Sense
I am very purposeful with my numbers. I have a cap on the number of attendees for the Clearly Confident Workshop. If someone enrolls and then decides they don’t want to take the workshop, there may not be time enough for another person who really had their heart set on enrolling to do so. I don’t have a wait list. When the cap is met, registration shuts down.
So, the “no-refund” policy assures me that people who enroll are committed to making an investment in themselves because they realize there’s no refund.
And that’s where I prefer to leave the investment. My time. Your time. A commitment to working together to achieve what you’re hoping to achieve.
From a Safety Sense
Due to very selective marketing that I use to help promote the “Clearly Confident Workshop”, the risk exists for the process to be compromised. Again, those are not areas I wish to give my attention to. The no-refund policy offers security behind the fact that whoever signs up is a legitimate person who wishes to attend – because otherwise, their money would be forfeited.
From a Common Sense Sense
I understand things happen in life. Emergencies arise that are out of our control. Given that possibility, I do offer a protection to you if you have enrolled in the workshop.
Should an “emergency” arise, I ask that you contact me immediately and let me know that there is an emergent reason why you are unable to attend the workshop you have enrolled in and paid for. My policy is that I will allow you to join one of the next two upcoming workshops. If you have not taken advantage of attending one of the next two upcoming workshops that I offer to accommodate an emergent situation by the time two workshops have passed, then you forfeit your entire enrollment amount.
Again, my numbers are on purpose and there is a cap. So if I am leaving a spot open for you in a future workshop, that means your previous workshop slot was wasted and a future workshop spot is being held for you and taken from someone who could have used that to join.
The short and long of it is, if you enroll do your best to commit to that investment you’ve made to yourself and the slot you’ve taken in the workshop. If there’s an “emergency”, there are accommodations in place for it.
In Conclusion
“No refund” is my policy. You don’t have to like my policy. You don’t have to enroll. But if you do, I want you to feel assured your time is protected, your money is protected and your investment in yourself is the only thing we will focus on getting a return on.
I hope this clarifies the security and sensibility behind the “no-refund” policy.
And I hope to see you in the workshop.
